Accelerate Courses

We run courses throughout Stoke on Trent to come into your school for road safety sessions in the classroom, giving the children their first driving experience. We will cover the importance of the cockpit drill, maneuvering through cones, the emergency stop and reversing. This includes a variety of PSHE and citizenship topics and many aspects of the school curriculum.

School driving and road safety sessions are always one of the most popular activities with older pupils. They combine the serious issues of becoming a new young driver with the fun and exciting aspects of driving for the first time.

We offer courses to schools to provide first time driving experience in a safe and controlled environment through classroom and road safety sessions and hands on driving experience within school grounds.

The experience includes:

• Cockpit drill
• Moving off and stopping
• Maneuvering through cones
• Emergency stop
• Reversing exercises

This encompasses a number of PSHE and citizenship topics as well as many aspects of the school curriculum.

Calm, professional instruction puts the students at ease and gives them confidence to carry out more advanced maneuvers on what is normally their first driving experience.

This is coupled with some very valuable advice and guidance relevant to today’s driving conditions.

The Accelerate Driving Programme helps to support many aspects of the schools curriculum and provides pupils with an exciting and unique extra curricular experience.

It is highly valued by pupils, staff and parents as it helps to reinforce to the young people the importance of developing responsibility through experience, actions and consequences in the real world.
